Rise with the sun. Killiney Sunrise is a guided sauna ritual on the beach at Killiney — two mornings, two guides, and a slow, deliberate start to the day while the rest of Dublin is still asleep.

The heart of it is the Piritis Ritual: a guided sauna journey rooted in centuries of tradition and built entirely around your body and breath. Bundles of oak, eucalyptus and birch release their aromas into the heat as you move through gentle whisking, self-whisking and group whisking — a plant-based massage that draws out tension and floods the senses. Salt inhalations and a honey and salt scrub finish it off, leaving your skin polished and glowing.

Then the last fifteen minutes are yours. Free roam, settle in, and let the reset land before the day begins.

The Ritual, Step by Step
Total experience: 55–60 minutes — a 40–45 minute guided ritual plus 15 minutes free roam.

• Welcome · 5 min — your guide shares his own story, the history of Piritis, and a walk-through of the ritual ahead, so you know exactly what to expect before the heat begins.
• Session One · 20–25 min — the heart of the ritual. Oak, eucalyptus and birch, starting with the benefits of each plant, then flowing through gentle whisking, self-whisking and group whisking.
• Break · 5 min — step out, cool down, take in the bay.
• Session Two · 10–15 min — a gentle warm-up whisking and salt inhalations, followed by a nourishing honey and salt scrub.
• Free Roam · 15 min — open time in the sauna, yours to enjoy at your own pace.

Know before you go

• Arrive 10 minutes before your session — early starts run to time.
• Bring swimwear, a towel and something warm for after.
• Sessions run rain or shine. Dress for a Dublin morning.
• This is a guided ritual, not a drop-in sauna — places are limited and non-transferable between sessions.
